Coronavirus updates Wednesday: Oregon reports 5 deaths, 876 new cases

Oregon reported 876 new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday.

The state now has a cumulative total of 52,770 positive cases, according to the Oregon Health Authority.

Lane County Public Health’s website showed 73 more COVID-19 cases Wednesday, bringing the total number of cases in the county to 3,014.

According to the agency, 17 county residents were hospitalized for the virus and 279 remain infectious.

The state reported five more deaths, bringing the state’s death toll to 742.

Marion County had two new deaths: A 76-year old man who died Nov. 9, and a 92-year-old woman who died Oct. 15.

Multnomah County had three new deaths: A 100-year old woman who died Nov. 1; an 81-year old man who died Nov. 4; and an 84-year-old man who died Nov. 8.
